And one more . . .
We're sitting here enjoying our Sunday afternoon with sick kids. Bradley and Connor are playing the "chef" game. I just asked Bradley to make me some sticky fingers (Yummy!! I miss Winger's), and I wanted Bleu Cheese dressing for dip. Well, he cooked my sticky fingers, and then got mad at Connor because Connor had his utensil that he needed to make, "Mommy's Ranch dressing that's blue." Ha ha ha . . . Just thought I'd share that one. Wes and I had a good laugh.

Cute Quotes from the Kiddos
So, I have been meaning to blog every night for the past couple weeks, but Wes keeps getting all his homework and studying done during the day so I have been hanging out with him at night! I'm not complaining, I love spending time with him, but now I'm behind!
Anyway, so I wanted to dedicate this post to my cute kids. They say the cutest things! I'll be posting sporadic pictures throughout just to make this a little more exciting!
- The other day the boys were worrying about my nightlight running out of batteries. Bradley
says, "Maybe we need to get some "good"eries for it. That might work." Ha ha ha . . .
-Connor found the measuring tape and wanted to see how tall Daddy is - apparently Wes is 30 months old tall. :) Here's a great picture of him fixing our bathroom sink. We can call maintenance for that stuff, but he insisted on doing it himself! It got fixed so I won't complain!
-We were talking the other day about the fact that the little black part of our eyes is called the pupil. Well, the next day Connor asked me what the white part is called. I actually have no idea, and I told him that. He said, "Maybe it's called the eye seasoning." I have no clue where he got that from!!
-"WE NEED HAIRCUTS!!!" This was a couple weeks ago. They look much better now.I am so glad that Wes is willing to cut their hair. He does a great job.

-The other day while I was making dinner, the boys were actually playing by themselves, and nicely! They were playing the super hero game and, for the first time ever, they were on the same team!
Connor was Spiderman, and his job was to trap the bad guys in his web. Then Bradley had to come and punch them, get this, "all the way to Lafrica." Yes, that's right. Take that you bad guys! You are off to LAFRICA!! This cute brother picture was taken when we went to see the butterflies in Pacific Grove.
-Some of Connor's jammie pants are too big so I usually have to fix them for him by rolling them up. The other night, he came running in, "Look Mom, I fixed my own jammie pants!!" These are obviously not the ones that are too big. In fact, they should probably go into the box of too small clothes!
-We have figured out a new way to make our grocery shopping experiences more enjoyable. Since Halley sits in the shopping cart now, we get a spaceship cart and Halley and one boy sit in the cart. The boy in the cart gets to check off the groceries on the list. The other boy gets to walk with Mommy or Daddy and help get the groceries. You wouldn't believe how much happier all of us are since we've been doing this!! Well, after the first time we tried that, when we were putting the boys to bed, Bradley says to Wes, "Dad, when I was carrying the stuff at the store, it made me feel like I was a big boy in Kindergarten." It just melted our hearts. Sometimes I think we forget how much they want to help because we are so busy worrying about getting things done faster. I'm glad we discovered this new trick.
-And, last, but not least, here's a video of Halley's latest form of communication!

BFF
We had a lot of fun while she was here. She came last Sunday night for dinner. On Monday she and I did an excellent workout video that Shelby brought. My buns are still sore. Sorry, no pictures of that event!
That night we went for a short visit to the beach just as the sun was setting.
The only way we could get the boys to leave the beach was to tell them we were getting pizza on the way home.
San Francisco
First we decided to go see the Golden Gate Bridge. It was quite a sight.
We parked on the other side and decided to venture out on the bridge. I didn't realize it would be SO loud and windy. This is how Halley felt about it. She was so good though.
After the bridge we drove around San Francisco trying to find a family friendly restaurant where we could eat lunch. We found a cool little place, and they even had a high chair.
We also stopped and bought a couple souvenirs before we were on our way.
I always have a hard time when our visitors leave, and this time was no exception. I am just so glad that Shelby was willing to take the trip out and got to spend some time with the fam and me. It was fun to be able to sit around and talk and catch up on everything. I love Shelby so much, and she always helps me to feel better about everything!

Excuse my Experiments!
My friend told me how all of you make your blogs so cute, and I am attempting to try out some new stuff. So, you may see my blog changing a bit in the next few weeks or so. Just bear with me, and hey, if you see anything you like or absolutely hate, let me know. I am new at this whole fancy blogging stuff!
Look for pictures of my best friend Shelby's visit coming up soon! I have to sort through and pick and choose which ones to use.

The Big 30
We kept Wes' birthday pretty low key. We're trying to save money, and Wes just wanted to relax with the fam. We did get a bunch of good pictures though - mostly of Wes - which is as it should be, of course!
So, this is a post for my handsome and wonderful 29 year old husband!
Breakfast candles!
Gifts from the boys - blue and green - their favorite colors.
Gifts from Wes' wonderful parents. They sent some cool party stuff, some fun toys, Wes' favorite gum and one of those one size fits all checks! :)
This is Wes in his new birthday shirt (regular $50 , I got it for $6 at Kohl's, yay me!) and Halley in her new onesie that she got for Daddy's birthday.
And the grand finale - he huffed and he puffed and . . . he blew out two candles!
Happy Birthday my love!
A Saturday Swim
Bradley was more comfortable in the small pool. He did surprise us though. He decided he wanted to swim with his face under water, and he did it back and forth across that little pool quite a few times. He was so brave! I know it took me a long time to be comfortable with my face under the water.
This last picture is from the same day and is just so dang cute I had to post it. My sister-in-law, Kira, always makes fun of my other sisters and me because we do this head tilt thing for almost every picture. Apparently it's genetic because Halley does it too. :) Ha ha ha . . .
Bradley's Got the Moves
Wes' parents sent him some fun little toys for his birthday. One of them is this toy saxophone that the boys can't get enough of. They love to play it and dance. Bradley is so funny because he totally gets into it. We call his little bum wiggle, "The Waggle." It is so funny in person, but this is a pretty good video. Don't you love his outfit?

Halloween Fun
Halloween was a fun day for us. We got to go to a little party at Bradley's preschool. Here is a picture of him with some of his other super hero friends. His friend, Diana, decided there needed to be a feminine presence in the picture. :)
That night we kind of waited around to see if anyone would trick-or-treat around our neighborhood, but no one came.
So, we drove over to the new houses and found hundreds of little kids out getting candy. Don't ask me why everyone was in that neighborhood. I guess maybe people felt safer.
Here's a cute video of Halley's newest form of communication. She started this while my mom was still here, and in this video she actually sounds a little more feminine than usual. Most of the time when she does it she sounds like she's trying to growl just like the boys do.

I love family visits!
We had my sister and her son, Zack, and my parents here for a few days, and it was a blast. We did all sorts of fun things. Yet again, I will refer you to my sister, Cristi's blog because she is amazing and posted a couple times even while they were here, but
I will try to do a random sampler of some of the fun pictures! We did all sorts of fun things. Here's a cute Daddy picture of Wes with Halley. We don't really let her go to sleep with us very much anymore because we want her to sleep in her own crib, but hey, we still love the snuggle time. And, it is so cute to watch her sleep.
Here are all the boy cousins playing at the park. Isn't sand great?

And here is Cristi playing at the park! Slides are awesome! Sidenote - Cristi is such an amazing mom and aunt and sister. I really love and admire her a lot. Having her here really made me miss all my siblings and siblings-in-law. Every one of my brothers and sisters (in- and outlaws) are such examples to me. I love and miss all of you sooooo much!!
Ok, I am going to stop for now. It's late. I have quite a few more pictures to go through, but I wanted to get at least something done or else I won't do anything at all!! Plus, my mom is still here so I have to take advantage of it! She is working on my cool Halloween costume right now! I love my mommy!
