Early Morning Driving

Nothing but the open road home to UT!!!
I don't know why I am so obsessed with taking pictures of my kids when they are sleeping. Maybe it's because they are quiet and calm. Anyway, we left early Sunday morning to make the 17 hour drive back home to UT. We brought Kira and Asher back with us so it was a very full load! We had everything ready to go so we could just get in the motor home and drive. I totally thought the kids would all wake up, but this was about 15 minutes into the drive:Asher was WIDE awake-probably still recovering from his cake overdose the night before. He he he . . .My dad drove the entire time! We hardly had any stops because we could eat, sleep and pee in the motor home!

More Fun in WA

We had a lot of fun seeing Kira's house and just spending time together while we were out there.
Aren't they just the cutest kids? This is what we call "The Deer in the Headlights" look. Dallin gets that look a lot.My Dad always spends about 90% of his vacations in the kitchen area cooking and cleaning.
Bradley really enjoyed playing with Asher's cool toys. He was really proud of this little thing he built and then blew over. He said it was just like dominoes.

Can you tell my dad worked really hard while we were out there? He drove the entire way and then helped out with stuff around the house while we were there.
We decided to have a little mini-birthday party for Asher while we were out there. I have NEVER seen any one year old dig into a cake like he did. He had no fear at all and was just shoving it in with both hands. It was so cute!I think Halley was a little worried about him. She is patting his head and saying, "You ok, Asher."And here is Asher after he got all cleaned up! Can you tell he had a little sugar overload?? He he he . . .

The Animals at Aunt Kira's

My dad found a snake out in Kira's backyard while we were there. Bradley and Connor were fascinated. Next time we go out for a visit I think we'll spend lots more time exploring the nature preserve that is basically their BACKYARD!
They also have a couple dogs. Connor LOVES dogs. He is always sitting down next to them to pet them. Here he is with Lloyd.

Multnomah Falls

Over UEA weekend the kids and I took a road trip out to Lacey, Washington to visit my sister-in-law and her cute little guy! We drove out with my parents and my grandma in my parents' fancy motor home. We stopped at the most beautiful waterfall on our way out.
We drove for about seven hours the first day, and then had been driving about five hours when we arrived here so it was a nice breath of fresh air. :)
My Dad and Bradley took a little hike together up to the first bridge over the bottom waterfall. Here they are on their way. Here is some of the beautiful scenery. My dad took a picture from the bridge of my mom and Connor and Halley down below. They are right in the middle of the picture. My mom is waving. Connor is wearing the orange shirt. Here are my mom and I with the older kids. My grandma stayed back at the little store and kept Dallin warm. The bridge behind us is where my dad and Bradley were.I love this picture of my parents. Grammy and the kiddos.

Sweet Baby Boy!

Here are some cute pictures of Dallin. I apologize for not blogging more often. I have been struggling with life in general for the past little while, but I am starting to feel like a more sane and normal person so maybe I'll start back up again.
My sister took these pictures. You can go here to see more of her work. She's a great photographer!
Sleeping babies are so precious.
He has the most adorable, big blue eyes.
I absolutely LOVE his little pouty face.
These pictures were taken about a month ago when he was just over 2 months old. He has changed a lot since then! It's crazy how fast babies grow.

Happy Birthday!

Since I am feeling up to it, here is another post. These are some pictures from Wes' birthday. He is getting really old. :) He turned 32 on Monday. We didn't get to do much to celebrate because he left for work at 3:00 am and didn't get home from school until around 5:00. We went out to one of his favorite restaurants, Texas Roadhouse, and then came home and ate pumpkin pie.I have to say, I really love this guy! He has been working so hard the past few months with work and school and projects around the house. During the week he is up at 2:30 am and usually doesn't stop until 10:00 at night. I don't know how he keeps going! Then, on the weekends and during his time off he is helping me with the kids and doing other projects around our house and for other people!
I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!! Thanks for being so great my dear!
You can tell all the kids adore him too. They are always so excited when he is home and gets to spend time with them.
