Lazier Days Part 2 - Early Easter

These are more pictures from when we were in UT. It wasn't quite Easter, but my dad thought it would be fun for the kiddos to color Easter eggs while we were there. It was sad because my dad had to go to a meeting just before we started so he missed it! We had fun though!I think we colored around four dozen eggs. The boys had fun making a mess. I think the aprons were a great idea for Connor and Zack!

Halley and Zack enjoyed eating the eggs! I love these pictures of Cristi and Zack!

Lazier Days Part 1 - Just Chillin'

Is lazier a word? Hmmm . . . I just did spell check, and I guess it is. He he he . . . Anyway, for anyone who hasn't been keeping up - I am, as usual, very far behind on my pictures for blogging. These pictures are about two months old. :) The last few posts were from our busiest day during our trip back to Utah. So, these pictures are from a few of our more relaxed days. This night the boys got to spend some quality time with their cousins, Hailey and Chelsea. Here they are with the big pillows and blankets their grandma, Mamo, always gets out for them. They all watched Cinderella together. And here are some classic pictures of Halley and her obsession with washing and anything that is fabric. She loves clothes and rags. The other day I found her with a pair of Connor's underwear. She was desperately trying to get them on her head. She has grasped the concept of putting clothes on, but I guess she doesn't know what goes where yet!
And here is Halley with my sister.
At first Halley was being really shy, but by the end of the trip she was in love with Cristi. She loves to find noses and give kisses!!And here are a couple of the boys hanging out together reading and getting ready for bed!

Crazy Day Part 3 - Homecoming/Farewell Party

Here are a few pictures from the party that night for my brother and sister-in-law. It was a great party with TONS of people. Everyone loves them so much, and it is always good to welcome a hero home. I am so proud of my brother and my sister-in-law. I know the year he was gone was tough for both of them, and I am so glad to know they are now back together!

These are the girls who got the house all decorated and got a ton of the food ready!
And here are some more fun family pictures! I love seeing pictures of my brother and sisters and me! We are so awesome!

And, of course, I LOVE my in-laws. Trent and Kira are so awesome! They add so much to our family! And, they put up with my annoying brother and sister! Ha ha ha . . . I'm just kidding!

Crazy Day Part 1 - Chuck E. Cheese's

One of our busiest days on the trip was Monday the 30th. We went shopping in the morning for cute clothes for our family pictures. Then we went to Chuck E. Cheese's for lunch. Then we put the kids down for naps while we set out all the cute clothes and beautified ourselves. Then we were off to the park to take some fun Broderick family pictures. Straight from there we went to a homecoming/farewell party for my brother who had just recently returned from Iraq! Yah, crazy, huh?
It was a long day! I'll do a separate post for each event so it doesn't get too crazy!
Here are the ones from at Chuck E. Cheese's. I never can figure out why kids love this place so much. It wasn't too busy this day, but almost every time I have been there I feel like I am going crazy. There are kids everywhere screaming and shouting and crying and whining (mine included), and it just seems so chaotic. The kids love it though!Zack and Halley enjoyed riding a few of the rides together. This was one of those "rollercoaster" rides that have a video. I think Halley was a little nervous. But here she's thinking she's got it under control.
Apparently, for kids there's nothing better than eating pizza and riding silly rides! Here's Halley's cute outfit, and she's standing up!
I guess it looks like we were all having fun! It seems to me that just spending time seeing the kids so happy makes all us old, boring adults a little happy too. :)

Finally!

I am finally getting around to posting pictures from our trip to UT back at the end of March. Here are some pictures from our St. Patrick's Day party at the Power family home. They delayed the party so we could all be together, and we really were ALL there. It was a lot of fun. I am sad this picture with Halley and Wes and me didn't turn out! Wes got half cut out!
We were hoping for some nice spring UT weather, but alas, it was snowy and cold most of the week we were there. Here are the kids collecting their treasures from the leprechauns! Kirsten's girls were so cute with the boys. They spent the whole night trying to find that pesky leprechaun who kept messing things up all around the house. It was so fun to see the boys having such a great time with their cousins!
We also got some great family pictures!

THE BOYS!

THE GIRLS!

THE FAM!
This is one of our favorite traditions in the Power family. In fact, I think a lot of Wes' family looks forward to this more than Christmas. We eat corned beef and cabbage! Yum! Then we always play fun games, and we usually watch Darby O'Gill and the Little People, but this year we were too busy having fun and catching up! Gotta love family traditions!
